SXSW South Woodbridge master-planned community is a new development by Primont Homes that is currently in pre-construction. Also known as South by South Woodbridge, this new project will be located at 7082 Islington Avenue between Steeles Avenue West and Highway 407 in Woodbridge, Vaughan.
Construction for the first phase will begin with two high-rise condominium towers called the Parkside Condos each measuring 19 and 22 storeys tall (237 and 253 feet, respectively) and set upon a shared 3-storey podium; to be located on the east end of site fronting onto Islington, Parkside Condos will respectively contain 379 and 135 living units that will range in size from 607 to 1,270 square feet.
These towers will be complemented by eleven 3-storey-high low-rise townhomes to the west, containing a total 135 living units. As well, two future condo towers will be added to the south at a later phase, numbering some 384 units.
The SXSW South Woodbridge master-planned community will be served by a 3 level underground garage that will supply the site with some 1,090 vehicle parking spaces.
To serve the needs of this new community, this development has plans to construct a centrally-located 2,000 square meter community centre. At present, there are no plans to include retail or office space as part of this site.
Using nearby expressways like Highway 407 and Highway 400, a short drive will take residents to such vital Vaughan destinations such as Vaughan Mills, Canada’s Wonderland, the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, Yorkdale Shopping Centre, Casino Woodbine, Woodbine Mall, and Woodbine Race Track — all reachable within a short 20 minute-long drive. Meanwhile, residents will also enjoy easy access to Pearson International Airport (15 minute drive) and Etobicoke General (14 minute drive) while a drive to downtown Toronto will take just 42 minutes.
